anamnesis - bahía mansa / bilt (Cassette)

anamnesis' was born from a conversation about the construction of a eurorack module. From there came the idea of collaborating on something more organic, combining electronic sounds with guitars. For several months, bahía mansa and blit bounced ideas back and forth, but for various reasons, they decided to let those ideas mature on their own over time.

Returning to the project after a while, they found themselves wondering how certain sounds had manifested or where exactly they had left off. From that rediscovery and those conversations arose the concept of 'anamnesis', a sound exploration that plays with memory and the reinterpretation of what they believed forgotten.

Anamnesis refers to the process of recalling or recovering previous knowledge. In the context of this album, music serves as a catalyst for evoking past memories and emotions, both personal and collective. Just as anamnesis reconstructs memories from scattered fragments, the album built its soundscapes from individual elements such as textures, tones, and rhythms. All of them emerged at different times and were shared remotely and assembled to create a coherent whole.

Music becomes a vehicle for remembering, reconstructing, and exploring. 'anamnesis' is a testament to the collaborative process and the organic nature of music creation, especially in the digital age.
