Noa Records presents, the first solo album from synthesesist/producer Parksdale (Ladi 6), an album called LOOK!
Through this meticulously constructed assemblage of aural scenes, LOOK! invites us into the mind of a deep musical thinker and knowledge holder pertaining the lineages of synthesiser music, musique concréte, library records of the 1960’s and 1970’s and Hip-Hop sampling culture, paying homage to inspirational musical figures that have informed his path (Raymond Scott, RZA, Madlib, Piero Umiliani) and giving back in the form of a modern library record; composing pieces with the purpose of becoming sampling material. Parkdale utilises the premium electronic music/production tools at his disposal to deliver a one-of-a-kind sonic experience that only he can craft, we feel proud and privileged to be able to share this taonga with the world.
