Description

The second album from New Zealand jazz collective The Circling Sun moves from 1960s influences to the mid-1970s, nodding to Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Yusef Lateef and Brazilian jazz. Prophet synths and modular electronics meet saxophone, upright piano and hand percussion, shifting between danceable Afro-Cuban grooves and ambient jazz meditations.
