Heavy Dublin - Dublin

Heavy Dublin is an expression of Dublin’s pressurised knotted dynamic while at once a conception for a possible new reality of the city. Dublin, through their method of tandem improvisational duet, achieve a state of self-vectorisation allowing them to fully receive and be possessed by the transmissive energies of the city, and as such transmute these volatile forces toward the synthesis of a novel sonic spacetime. Through this process the duo manage to create an unfaçaded space that pre-exposes its own vulnerability, a space in which time seems to stand still within the intersection of a multitude of pasts, presents, and futures of the city - endearing the listener, in the manner of the duo, to freely explore themselves and these timelines all within the boundless interior of the sonically reconceived Heavy Dublin.

The vinyl record comes in a sleeve without any front or back, simply two distinct visual faces which allow welcome to Heavy Dublin in different ways depending on the orientation that it is held and how entry is approached. Likewise the vinyl itself is unmarked of sides. A black circular disc of 12” diameter with no fixed starting or end point, leaving those making their way into the Heavy Dublin to navigate the terrain of the record unmapped and untethered in a way highly susceptible to disorientation. But if at first lost, regardless of where the listener chooses to hop on and hop off, they will be taken, if they so wish, along Dublin’s resolute yet turbulent journey through Heavy Dublin.
