Toronto-based, Japanese-born composer Masahiro Takahashi's sixth LP, made with ten guest musicians including co-producer Joseph Shabason. Trading Ableton sequences for lead sheets, it moves through viscous jazz-funk, wistful ambience, and languid balladry, with vocals from Dorothea Paas across nine tracks. Inspired by Kurosawa's Dreams and the parables of Zhuangzi.
